Imagine Tap Ready For Lift-Off!

Derick Grant's deluxe tap show is just two days away from cutting loose at the Harris Theatre in Chicago. The show features sixteen top tap dancers including Jason Samuels Smith, Ayodele Casel, Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, and Michelle Dorrance. The show runs July 11th-August 6th. Chicago Tap Theatre to present Changes: A Science-Fiction Tap Opera featuring the music of David Bowie

Changes is the fourth story show created by Chicago Tap Theatre. Featuring the music of rock innovator David Bowie, Changes will run for four full weekends in the intimate Athenaeum Theatre Studio 3, which holds a maximum of 90 people. The story of Changes is grounded in science fiction, with the starting point being Bowie's seminal work Ground Control to Major Tom. From there the story moves to an alien planet ruled by an egotistical leader who forces the populace to work for his own glorification.
